Blepharoplasty - Tightening of Eyelids

The ageing of the skin usually begins around the eyes because here the skin is very thin and soft. With the years a surplus of skin forms on the upper eyelid which is naturally related to age. The normal contour of the eyelid crease cannot be made out any more, the eyes appear tired. Especially in the morning hours, a distinctive swelling in the area of the upper eyelid is visible. The lower eyelids become puffy and bags develop because the fat tissue can break through underneath the eyes. These changes often contribute to a worn and tired look Correcting operation

The correction and removal of surplus skin and fat around the upper and lower eyelid is easy and can be done under local anaesthetic. The cut is put discreetly into the natural crease of the upper eyelid and under the eyelash circle of the lower eyelid. The reduction of fat is made with great care so that sinking of the eyes can be avoided. An additional tightening of the eye ring muscle is usually advisable at the lower eyelid in order to achieve a lasting result. Important information:
